Amirhossein Hatami (born July 18, 1993, Iran) is a filmmaker with an academic background bridging engineering and cinema. He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tehran (2019) and a diploma in Filmmaking from Hilaj Film School (2020). In 2023, he directed his debut short film, Somewhere to Stay, which was selected for more than 60 international film festivals and received 10 awards. In September 2023, he further advanced his filmmaking practice by undertaking a Master’s programme at the London Film Academy. "Out of the Blue" marks his third short film.
