Nathan Hetrick

Nathan Hetrick is an American filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer based in Westmorland, Pennsylvania. He specializes in sharp, character-driven stories that blend genres — from intimate romance and thriller elements to bold, irreverent comedy.

Hetrick is best known for his creative partnership with Norwegian filmmaker Mads Oliver Stark. Together they have written and developed several short film projects, including the cinematic romance/thriller The Girl at the Coffee Shop and the comedic The Energized Fridge series, most notably The Energized Fridge 3. Their collaborations combine American and Scandinavian storytelling influences to create visually distinct and thematically bold independent shorts.

With an early background in live streaming and creating YouTube videos, Hetrick brings hands-on experience in video production, technical workflows, and audience engagement to his filmmaking. He is actively focused on expanding his body of short films through international collaboration, grant opportunities, and independent production.
