Diourka Medveczky was a Hungarian-born French sculptor, screenwriter, and film director. He moved to France in the 1950s and became known for his sculptural works, which were exhibited in various galleries. Medveczky ventured into filmmaking in the 1960s, directing short films such as Le Socrate (1968) and Paul (1969). He collaborated with his then-wife, actress Bernadette Lafont, who starred in his films. Medveczky's work in both sculpture and film was characterized by its avant-garde style and exploration of philosophical themes. He passed away in Nîmes, France, at the age of 88.
