Julia Pupysheva

Iuliia "Julia" Pupysheva was born on July 23, 2007 in Kaluga, Russia. Pupysheva began acting as a child in youth musical theatre groups. She appeared in junior high and high-school productions through her early pre-teen and teenage years. At the age of eighteen, she joined the University of Alberta Film Society (UofAFS) to further pursue her interest in acting. There, she starred a prominent role as Sophia Mafia in their 2026 production "Sucker-Punch."

She aided several productions such as, "Lucky Shot," and "To Your Grave," with behind the scenes work, ranging from script supervisor, second camera assistant, production assistant, and set designer.
